Apr 3 to 9 Sail Away for Six Night Trans-Atlantic Crossing from Ft Lauderdale… Easter at Sea
April 10 8:00 AM – 08:00 PM Azores Islands (Ponta Delgada), Portugal
Rising from the depths of the Atlantic, the rugged, volcanic Azores lie 800 miles off the coast of Portugal. Colonized by the Portuguese in the 16th century, the nine islands have provided a haven to Atlantic mariners for over five centuries. The Azores offer travelers spectacular landscapes that range from lush meadows fringed with brightly colored hydrangea to an ancient caldera filled with lakes. And the many small villages and shops retain an 18th-century charm. Ponta Delgada is located on São Miguel, the largest of the nine Azores. The island’s rich volcanic soil sustains fields of tobacco and tea, vineyards, and pineapple greenhouses. The Azores are also noted for fine crafts, particularly basketry and pottery.
Two Days at Sea
April 13 7:00 AM – 06:00 PM Lisbon, Portugal
Draped across seven hills, Lisbon was once the center of a vast maritime empire that stretched from the west coast of Africa to the Spice Islands of the East Indies. Then, on November 1, 1755, a violent earthquake destroyed two-thirds of the city in 10 minutes. Only the Alfama, the old Moorish quarter, survived. Today, Lisbon is a stately city of Neoclassical buildings and wide plazas. We will offer an optional tour into the countryside to magical Sintra. Your journey begins with a guided visit to the iconic Pena Palace, one of Portugal’s most remarkable monuments. Step inside this fairy-tale landmark and explore its interiors and terraces while your local guide shares captivating stories of kings, artists, and visionaries who made Sintra the heart of Romanticism. After the palace, continue into the historic center of Sintra, where every street holds a secret and every viewpoint offers breathtaking scenery. David will share a taste of their famous travesseiro or queijada pastry, and buy some of the famous Portuguese cherry liqueur, Ginjinha, to take home and share with family and friends. This tour provides the perfect balance of culture, history, flavors, and landscapes — at a relaxed yet engaging pace.
Two Days at Sea
April 16 7:00 AM – 08:00 PM Le Havre (for Paris/Normandy), France
Perhaps no other place in France holds more associations for English-speaking visitors than Normandy. The historic Allied landings on D-Day – 6 June, 1944 – live on in the memories of British and Americans alike. Nor has Le Havre forgotten the dark days of the war. The port was completely destroyed during the Normandy campaign. Today, Le Havre is France’s second-largest port and home to the Musée des Beaux-Arts André Malraux, which boasts one of the finest collections of Impressionist paintings in the world.
We will offer an optional excursion to the heart of Paris via train through the countryside, a guided city tour, and free time to explore the plazas and sample the world-class baking.
April 17 – 21 Arrive London for Four Night City and English Countryside Adventure
During your time in London, you will enjoy a visit to the Royal Botanic Gardens, commonly known as Kew Gardens. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and home to the world’s most diverse collection of living plants. In spring, the gardens come alive with blossoming cherry trees, tulips, and magnolias, creating a mesmerizing display of color and fragrance. Join us for an orientation with a traditional Sunday Roast dinner ( with premium roasted meats, freshly steamed & roasted vegetables, Yorkshire puddings, ruffled roasties and all the trimmings) while reviewing your options for the following day. Then take off on your own with a 48-hour double-decker bus pass and enjoy the flexibility to hop on, hop off at 25 Stops and visit 54 Points of interest, including Buckingham Palace, the Tower of London, Big Ben, and more. We will rail into the English countryside for an overnight stay that will include a tour of historic Oxford University (also filming location of Harry Potter). Visit a charming Cotswold village just a short drive along country roads from our hotel. In September 2025, Bibury was declared as the most beautiful village in the world by Forbes. Attractions and things to see in Bibury include Arlington Row, a row of weavers’ cottages built in the 1300s of local stone next to the River Coln, the Bibury Trout Farm, and the Saxon Church, the Church of St Mary. The north Chancel wall of the Church houses a stained-glass window designed in 1927 by Karl Parsons, which was featured in the 1992 Christmas stamp set issued by the Royal Mail. The River Coln flows through Bibury sandwiched between the main village street and an expanse of boggy watermeadow known as Rack Isle. We will return April 21 to collect our bags and check in for our evening flight home, arriving Sea_tac at 6:23pm.
