Join us for a day at the 92nd Annual Verboort Sausage & Sauerkraut Festival! Each November, the tiny Dutch village of Verboort, Oregon, comes alive with the mouthwatering aroma of handmade sausage and simmering kraut. This beloved event has been a Pacific Northwest favorite since 1934, bringing together generations to share good food, laughter, and small-town warmth.
You’ll savor a traditional sausage dinner, featuring house-made links smoked right on the parish grounds using a time-honored family recipe. The sauerkraut ferments for six weeks in fifty-gallon barrels, ensuring that tangy, authentic flavor you won’t find anywhere else. Nearly every item—from baked goods to raffle quilts—is crafted by local hands.
Stroll through the Craft Bazaar, Country Store, Fancy Work Booths, Quilt Raffle, Beer Garden, Bingo Hall, and Bake Sale. Visit with locals, enjoy live entertainment, and soak up the cheerful Dutch village atmosphere that makes this event truly special.
On our return trip, we’ll stop at a working Oregon hazelnut farm, where you can pick up fresh, just-harvested nuts at unbeatable prices—perfect for holiday baking or gifting!
This heartwarming outing is a celebration of tradition, flavor, and community spirit—ideal for those who love authentic regional experiences and a good, hearty meal.
Book early with just a $10 deposit—this popular tour sells out every year!
