The three major varieties—Dutch Master, Flower Carpet, and Standard Value—paint the countryside in endless shades of yellow, with Mt. Baker providing the perfect backdrop.
Keep your camera ready for sightings of snow geese and swans, which winter in the Skagit Valley after migrating from their Arctic nesting grounds. These graceful birds are often seen feeding in the farmlands and wetlands that make this region so special.
