Arlington hosts the annual Eagle Festival to celebrate the return of the eagle to the Stillaguamish River. The watershed supports one of the largest populations of wintering bald eagles in the lower 48 states. The eagles return to feed on salmon that have come to spawn in the clean river gravel. During your day take a guided birding safari, see the art and photography show, learn from speakers, enjoy live music, wagon rides, and other fun activities. Award winning Chainsaw carvers from all over the NW will be creating works of art and then auctioning off their works. This is a unique opportunity to see them at close range, and to learn about their unique characters and behaviors.
